A message from Bill Rainey, Senior Director, Facilities Management & Campus Safety:
After an impressive career at NC, Rich Ciszek, Associate Director of Campus Safety and Parking is retiring, June 30th, 2023. We are sad to see Rich go, but happy for what he has meant to Niagara College and wish him all the best as he embarks on his next chapter.

Rich Ciszek
After a successful career in the Niagara Regional Police Services, Rich began his NC career in 2015 as a Campus Safety Investigations Coordinator. He stepped up to take on the Interim Manager of Campus Safety and Parking in March 2020 and was confirmed in 2022.
Rich has been a crucial and much respected leader at NC, most notably during COVID, where he effortlessly stepped up to the Manager’s role and worked above and beyond, leading us with a calm, focused, and always a “safety first” mantra. Despite some of the difficult days we all faced at the time, Rich always led with good humour, compassion, and an integrity that we were and still are, so grateful for.
Rich participated in and touched so many aspects of the college – impacting staff and students alike. Some notable achievements include, amongst so many more: our enviable and notable access control and staffing during COVID, the implementation of the HONK parking system, providing customer-focused special events coordination with staffing and parking, contributing to the sexual assault task force, and coordinating the Behaviour Intervention Team.
Please drop by to congratulate Rich on Wednesday June 28 from 12 to 2 p.m. in AH146 (Welland Campus) where light refreshments will be available. We will greatly miss working alongside Rich and wish him all the very best!
