A message from NC International’s Global Engagement division:

Niagara College employees are invited to attend NC International’s Global Learning Lounge about the Be World Ready program on June 21 from 12-1 p.m. via zoom.

In the most recent Strategic Plan, Niagara College has set a bold goal to graduate all NC students as world ready. A key to the success of this goal will be within the opportunities created for students by the office of Cultural & Global Engagement, who leads our signature study and work abroad program Be World Ready.

Be World Ready is built on the foundation of eight global competencies and four pillars. The team looks forward to working with all academic and service areas to amplify all four pillars of Be World Ready to provide more high value global learning interactions for students to develop global competencies – in the classroom, on campus, in the community, and around the world while studying at NC.

What you can expect to take away from this session:

  • Learn about international opportunities curated by Be World Ready for students, staff, and faculty;
  • Hear about the expansion of the Be World Ready program beyond travel opportunities that everyone across NC will have the chance to engage with; and
  • Learn about the responsibilities and expectations of acting as Be World Ready lead, hearing from a recent lead’s experience.

If you are considering leading a Be World Ready experience in late 2023 – 2024, participation in this session is mandatory to apply for the role. If you are unable to attend this session, this session will not be recorded, but another session will be offered in late August for future lead opportunities.

Please note: Registration is not required. NC employees can join the session using the Zoom link sent via campus notice email and posted to the employee portal.
