On March 11, YourTV released a segment showcasing the launch of new beers crafted by female, NC brewmaster students in honour of International Women’s Day.
Host Ann-Marie Zammit interviewed Associate Dean, Culinary, Tourism & Beverage Studies, Maija Saari, who spoke about how this initiative aims to help encourage women to participate in the non-traditional field of brewing.
Student Jessica Wiseman was also interviewed, who discussed the process of ideating and crafting the new beer launches along with student Marye Anne Chisolm who lead the charge of the Pink Boots initiative at NC.
