On February 26, the three Niagara dailies (the Niagara Falls Review, St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune) reported on the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser that kicked off at NC’s Welland Campus. Approximately 153 walkers, in 31 teams, walked around the college campus and 40 volunteers helped at the walk. The fundraiser also reached 90% of its $100,000 goal.
President, Sean Kennedy is quoted in the article thanking hairstyling professor, Joe Abbruscato who was the driving force that brought the walk to the college campus and mobilized the Niagara College Knight Walkers team.
