On February 23, the three Niagara dailies (the Niagara Falls Review, St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune), Toronto Star, Hamilton Spectator and Peterborough Examiner reported on the NC Knights volleyball and basketball teams in a weekly athletics recap.
The recap highlighted volleyball player Montanna Taylor who led the Knights with 19 points — 14 kills, four block stuffs, service ace and Annastasia Droppert who contributed 12 — eight kills, three service aces, block stuff.
The article also noted that the Knights men’s basketball team is one win away from advancing to the OCAA championship.
Simon Ricketts-Ewan is the college’s top male athlete and Taryn Mitchell is the top female athlete of the week, ending Sunday, February 19.
