Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Niagara Region with an ice storm expected to begin this afternoon (Feb. 22) into Thursday (Feb. 23) morning. Light snow, ice pellets and freezing rain are expected. Niagara College campuses remain open at this time and we will provide a mid-afternoon update.

Students, employees, and visitors are reminded to use extra care and caution when travelling to and from campus, as road conditions may make travel more difficult. Crews have been working to prepare campus walkways and roads with salt ahead of the storm and are ready to clear snow as it accumulates throughout the day.

While the College will make every effort to maintain scheduled on-campus classes and services despite severe weather, we will continue to monitor conditions and may suspend normal operations at any of our campuses.

Please monitor the College website, Blackboard, and social media channels throughout the day for notice of any interruptions to on-campus classes, services, and work.
