Family Day – What’s opened and closed at Niagara College

NC is wishing you a happy Family Day weekend!

Please note that Niagara College will be closed for the Family Day holiday on Monday, February 20, with limited access to campus facilities. Below is a list of operating hours for our services and enterprises during the Family Day holiday.

What’s Open?

Teaching Winery: The Teaching Winery will have normal hours of operation on Feb. 20.

Wine Visitor + Education Centre:  The Wine Visitor + Education Centre will have normal hours of operation on Feb. 20.

What’s Closed?

Academic Advising & Career Services: Academic Advising & Career Services will be closed on Feb. 20.

Ancillary Services: Ancillary Services at both campuses will be closed on Feb. 20.

Athletics & Recreation: Fitness Centres and gymnasiums at both campuses will be closed Feb. 20.

Bookstores: Both campus bookstores will be closed on Feb. 20.

Community Employment Services (CES): CES services will be closed on Feb. 20.

Enrolment Services: Enrollment Services will be closed both online and in person on Feb. 20

Health, Wellness and Accessibility Services (HWAS): HWAS at both campuses will be closed on Feb. 20.

Good2Talk
Good2Talk is a free, province-wide service for students in college/university and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It provides professional counselling, mental health information and connections to local resources. Students who are concerned about student life, health or mental well-being can contact Good2Talk via:

COAST Niagara / Mental Health and Addiction Help Line
COAST provides services to people in the Niagara Region who are in crisis and have a mental health concern. Ongoing telephone support and/or referral to appropriate follow-up services may be recommended to prevent further crisis.

Call 1-866-550-5205 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) and press 1 for COAST or press 2 for Mental Health and Addiction Help Line. Visit the COAST website for more information.

Indigenous Education: Indigenous Education services will be closed on Feb. 20.

International Centres: International Student Services offices at both campuses will be closed on Feb. 20.

ncLibraries and Learning Commons: ncLibraries and Learning Commons will be closed on Feb. 20. Online resources are available 24-7 at niagaracollege.ca/library.

Niagara College Student Administrative Council (NCSAC) offices and Student Centres:
Both NCSAC Offices, website chat, Cafes (The Shack and Undergrounds), Student Centres (The Core and The Armoury) will be closed on Feb. 20 and will re-open starting at 8 a.m. on Feb. 21.

Teaching Brewery: The Teaching Brewery will be closed Feb. 20.

Teaching Greenhouse: The Teaching Greenhouse will be closed and re-open Tuesday, February 21 at 10 a.m.
