A message from Fiona Allan, Vice-President, Academic:

It is with mixed emotions that I announce Natasha Hannon will be leaving Niagara College on March 3, 2023.  Natasha has accepted the senior leadership position of Vice President Teaching and Learning at Yorkville University.

Natasha joined Niagara College in 2014 and has made countless contributions since then. She has been instrumental in building our culture of excellence in teaching and learning. Her leadership and expertise in innovation in teaching and learning are widely respected in higher education.

As a highly collaborative academic leader, Natasha has led cross college projects and trailblazing initiatives with impacts that have been felt across the sector. She has welcomed countless new faculty to the College through her leadership of the College Educator Development and Part-Time Teacher Development programs. She has contributed to the creation of many important resources, including the Experiential Learning Toolkit, the Work Integrated Learning Open Modules, the LauNCh guide, Inclusive Teaching @NC, and the NC Accessibility Hub. Most recently, she and her team supported our faculty in keeping courses and programs at our college running through the shift to online learning during the pandemic; perhaps the most challenging and impactful time we educators have ever experienced.

Natasha was awarded the Award of Excellence in 2021 for her leadership and commitment to fostering excellence in teaching and learning. These are just a few of the ways Natasha has nurtured a culture of excellence in teaching and learning at NC.

Please join me in congratulating Natasha on her new role and wishing her all the best as she embarks on this career opportunity.  While we will miss her daily presence greatly, she will always be a part of our NC family.

Fiona Allan
Vice-President, Academic
