NC campuses will be closed starting December 23 until January 1, 2023. Normal hours of operations will resume on January 2.
Some services may be operating on modified hours leading up to and during the holiday closure and early in the new year – including the Wine Visitor + Education Centre and Niagara College Teaching Brewery. Below is a list of operating hours for our services and enterprises over the holidays.

Ancillary Services: Ancillary Services (Food Services & Ricoh Print services) on both campuses will be closed from December 23 – January 1 and will re-open January 2.
Athletics & Recreation: Fitness Centres and gymnasiums on both campuses will be closed from December 22 – January 3 with reduced hours and closures on the below dates. Regular hours of operation will resume week of January 9.
- January 4 – January 6: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- January 7 – 8: Closed.
Bookstores: Both campus bookstores will be closed from December 23 – January 3. Both bookstores will reopen January 4 – January 7 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and January 10 – January 19 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Regular hours of operation will resume beyond January 19. Online ordering is also available via the Campus Bookstore website.
Campus Safety & Parking Services: Both campuses will be closed from December 25 & 26 and January 1. For all other dates during the holiday period, please view details below.
Welland Campus:
- Only the main building will be open. (Pavillion, Black Walnut and Rankin will be closed).
- Doors will be open from 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
- Doors are subject to change depending on campus activity (if nobody is on campus, the guards will lock the doors earlier than midnight). If doors are locked, individuals will need to call 905-735-2211 ext. 6999 to gain access and will need to sign in and out with security.
Daniel J. Patterson Campus:
- Only Transit (main entrance), Transit West and Marotta will be open. The remainder of the doors will remain closed.
- Doors will be open from 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
- Doors are subject to change depending on campus activity (if nobody is on campus, the guards will lock the doors earlier than midnight). If doors are locked, individuals will need to call 905-735-2211 ext. 6999 to gain access and will need to sign in and out with security.
Community Employment Services (43 Church St. in St. Catharines): CES will be closed December 23 – December 27 and December 30 – January 1. CES will be open December 28 & 29 with reduced hours from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Regular hours of operation will resume on January 2.
Engagement, Advising & Career Services: Offices on both campuses will be closed from December 23 – January 1. Regular hours of operation will resume on January 2.
Enrolment Services: On-campus and virtual services are closed December 23 – January 1. Students may continue to submit requests via email and student portal. Requests will be reviewed in priority sequence when Enrolment Services reopens on January 2. Please visit the Enrolment Services website for information.
Health, Wellness and Accessibility Services: HWAS at both campuses will be closed December 20 and 21 for staff training and will be open on December 22 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. HWAS will be closed from December 23 – January 1 and will reopen on January 2.
Good2Talk
Good2Talk is a free, province-wide service for students in college/university and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It provides professional counselling, mental health information and connections to local resources. COAST Niagara / Mental Health and Addiction Help Line
COAST provides services to people in the Niagara Region who are in crisis and have a mental health concern. Ongoing telephone support and/or referral to appropriate follow-up services may be recommended to prevent further crisis.

Indigenous Education: The Indigenous Education Centers are offering online services only from December 19 – December 22 and will be closed from December 23 – January 1. Visit niagaracollege.ca/indigenouseducation for information about IE services.
International Centres: International Centres will be closed from December 23 – January 1. All services will resume regular hours of operations on both campuses January 2.
ncLibraries and Learning Commons: In-person and virtual services, including student support, Test Centre, academic drop-ins and peer tutoring services will be closed from December 23 – January 1. Online resources are available 24-7 at niagaracollege.ca/library.
Niagara College Student Administrative Council (NCSAC) offices and Student Centres: NCSAC offices and virtual chat services will close from December 23 – January 3. The Core and The Armoury are currently closed and will reopen in January 2023 (date TBD). The Shack and Undergrounds will be open December 19 – December 22 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will closed from December 23 – January 1 (January 2023 hours TBD).
Student Services: NC’s Student Rights & Responsibilities Office will be closed from December 23 – January 1 and will reopen on January 2.
Teaching Brewery: NC’s Teaching Brewery will be open for regular hours from December 28 – December 30, with reduced hours and closures on the below dates. Regular hours of operation will resume January 4.

Teaching Greenhouse: The Greenhouse will be closed from December 24 – January 1, with reduced winter hours upon return on January 2 (winter hours TBD). The online store will remain open for online sales/pickup. Visit the Teaching Greenhouse’s online store to place an online order.
Teaching Spa: The Teaching Spa is now closed until January 1 and will fully re-open in January 2023 (date TBD). Please check ncteachingspa.ca in January 2023 for up-to-date information on hours and services available.
