Sad News: Student Death

College flags have been lowered to honour the memory of Evan DeBoer, a level-one student in the Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship program, who died on December 4 in his 19th year as the result of an accident. Evan is survived by his parents, Frank and Sandra and siblings Joshua and Cailyn. Evan’s online obituary is available here.

Visitation will take place at Covenant Canadian Reformed Church, 480 Woolverton Road, Grimsby (Grassie) on Monday, December 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 5:30-8:30 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the church on Tuesday, December 13 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery, Smithville at 9:30 a.m.
