On Thursday November 3, The Niagara College Student Administrative Council (NCSAC) held their first ‘Coffee for a Cause’ event in support of NC’s United Way Workplace Campaign.
The initiative – the first in a series – raised $768.55 in beverage sales and was topped up by NCSAC to reach $1000.
“We’re thrilled that NCSAC’s first Coffee for a Cause was so successful!” said Danny Cvetanovic, SAC Operations Manager. “There are so many people from our NC community that want to give back to those in need and it was touching to see all the support for this initiative.”
One hundred per cent of sales from the purchase of any hot beverage at The Shack (Welland Campus) and The Undergrounds (Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake) were donated to the cause.
“NCSAC is committed to supporting both internal and external initiatives in our community and we look forward to announcing the next Coffee for a Cause date, which will be in support of Nourishing Minds, in the New Year.”
