Get into the spirit of the holidays with the College’s Learning Enterprises!
The Teaching Winery, Teaching Brewery and Teaching Distillery are ready to spread holiday cheer. The public is welcome to a Holiday Open Houseat the Wine Visitor + Education Centre/Teaching Winery, and Teaching Brewery on December 3 (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
Entry is free to the event and guests can enjoy complimentary tastings and snacks throughout the day, warm up by the fire pits and enjoy15 percent off on all cases of wine (12 bottles minimum, mix and match). A complimentary tour of the Teaching Brewery and Winery facilities will also be available (2 p.m.).
Guests can also experience workshops, seminars and tours (registration required) at the event including:
- Meet the Winemaker (with wine tasting) at 11 a.m. (Teaching Winery);
- Meet the Brew Crew and witness the tradition of tapping the holiday beer pins (with beer tasting) at 11:30 a.m. (Teaching Brewery);
- Learn the Art of Making Charcuterie Boards at 1 p.m. (Teaching Winery);
- Tour the Teaching Brewery and Teaching Winery facilities (with tasting) at 2 p.m. (register at the gate); and
- Join the Holiday Cocktails Demonstration (one cocktail included) at 3 p.m. (Teaching Winery).

Guests are encouraged to get into the spirit of giving at the open house; donation boxes will be present on site for donations to Community Care.
