Join the Centre for Academic Excellence on October 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a new, focused program around accessibility where you will have a chance to put your learning into action with guided support from colleagues and CAE staff.
- Do you need to work on making your course materials and documents more accessible?
- Want to review your instructional activities to ensure accessibility?
- Learn more about accessible practices for teaching and learning environments?
Accessibility in Action! is structured to provide you with the opportunity to learn about accessibility and put that learning into action. Registration is required.
True accessibility means proactively taking action to create and improve access for all individuals across our institution. In this program, you will have the opportunity to explore foundations of accessibility, learn about key practices and strategies for promoting accessibility, and share insights and information with your colleagues. After a morning of learning opportunities, we will have an ‘accessibility sandbox’ – dedicated time for you to select and prioritize aspects of your teaching and learning practice and make them more accessible.
Participants will also receive our Accessibility in Action handbook – a collection of resources to encourage and enhance your accessible practice at NC.
Lunch and snacks will be provided!
