For the first time since 2019, Niagara College hosted nearly 900 college-bound Niagara Region high school students at the College Information Program (CIP) at the Welland Campus on October 17.

Students from 29 local high schools interested in exploring a college education were able to connect with Niagara College staff and faculty about Niagara College’s 130 innovative programs, hands-on applied learning opportunities, student services, careers and learning pathways, campus life and more.

Representatives from all academic areas and student services were on hand to provide insights and information about what is available to students when they enroll at Niagara College. Students also had the opportunity to connect one-on-one with current students enrolled in various programs at Niagara College.

“After a two-year hiatus, we’re thrilled that we were able to welcome the next generation of post-secondary students from across the Niagara Region to our Welland Campus for the College Information Program tour” said Ian Aikenhead, Director, Student Recruitment. “CIP offers students the opportunity to connect with Niagara College faculty and staff and college representatives from across the province as they plan the next steps in their education journey.  Niagara College was proud to act as the host for this great event.”

Niagara College served as a key stop for the province wide CIP tour, which concludes on November 4, and provided the chance for Niagara students to meet with representatives from all 24 Ontario colleges to learn about the unique career pathways available to college graduates.
