Mike Balsom with YourTV Niagara reported on the October 3 unveiling and dedication of the Saundra Patterson Memorial Garden. The garden project was a labour of love for students and faculty from the School of Environment and Horticulture and staff from the Teaching Greenhouse, who planned, designed and built an English-style garden in honour of NC’s long-time ‘first lady’ Saundra Patterson. Saundra, who passed away on January 27, 2021, was the devoted partner of long-time NC President Dan Patterson (now President Emeritus).
The segment includes interviews with President Emeritus Patterson, Professor Carrie Zimmerman and Amanda Saulnier, a second-year Greenhouse Technician student who worked on the garden.
