Newstalk 610 CKTB weekend host Steph Vivier interviewed NC alumnus Vish Mayekar (Culinary Management, Co-op, 2014) about the chance to compete in the upcoming 10th season of Top Chef Canada, which premiers on September 26 on Food Network Canada.
During the interview, Mayekar explained that he developed a love for food at an early age growing up in Mumbai, India. He enrolled at NC to pursue his culinary dreams and found many chef mentors, including Chef Professor Olaf Mertens, who he described as his “Canadian dad” in the interview. Mayekar also gives a shout out to Avi Hollo, Alan Kerr and Tony De Luca for their mentorship at NC and through his career so far.
