NC Knights soccer and volleyball athlete Natasha Desjardins was featured in a July 10 article in the three Niagara Dailies and The Peterborough Examiner about the Welland leg of the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games torch relay.
The article mentions that Desjardins, who is a Welland native, was nominated by NC Director of Athletics and Student Engagement Michele O’Keefe to carry the Roly McLenahan Canada Games Torch. Desjardins was one of several torchbearers to take part in the relay on July 10. The torch is making its way through Niagara for the opening ceremonies of the Canada Summer Games on August 6.
