Tom McConnell with Newstalk 610 CKTB interviewed Sean Coote, NC’s Vice President, International, on the College’s supports for students impacted by the war in Ukraine.

During the interview, Coote highlights the mental and emotional supports in place for students, which are meant to be wholistic in nature, and highlights NC’s Global Emergency Relief Fund. He explains that the Fund was established in 2020 to provide financial assistance to students during the COVID-19 pandemic and was recently expanded, through the support of community donors, to help Ukrainian and Russian students who are facing financial challenges due to the war.

Coote also explains how NC is supporting Ukrainians who have recently arrived in Niagara through the College’s English for Academic Preparation (EAP) program, which will help them advance their language skills.
