A message from Pam Skinner, Senior Vice-President, College Operations:
As we all wish Ralph Scholz the best as he begins his retirement, I’m pleased to announce that Brian Hughes will be moving from his role of Project Manager and Contract Administrator in FMS to take on the role of Interim Director.
Brian has been at the College for three years and in that time took on the role of managing the leases of our tenants at NCBC as well as overseeing a number of significant capital projects for the College.
Brian brings over 20 years of experience to this role, having worked in the private and municipal sectors and Niagara Region before coming to Niagara College. As a civil engineer and project manager, Brian has had lead accountabilities that included real estate, energy management, facilities management and capital projects, including responsibility for the Region’s $30M budget for roads and bridges.
As we emerge from the pandemic and anticipate new directions based on our Strategic Plan that will rely heavily on FMS support, I know the College will be well served by Brian’s leadership, expertise and collegial approach.
