Message from Brian Hughes, Acting Director, Facilities Management Services:
I would like to take a moment to introduce a new addition to the FMS team. This week, James (Jim) Huppunen began in his role of Project Manager and Contract Administrator. Jim will be taking a leadership role in our FMS Projects and Planning department, working closely with me and Technicians Tanera DeBeau and Nazanin Nadri.
Jim is an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) as recognized by the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (‘OACETT’), and is a graduate of Niagara College’s Construction Engineering Technology-Architecture program. He was previously employed at the Region of Niagara, Town of Lincoln, City of Port Colborne, and City of Niagara Falls, taking on progressively more senior roles in facilities and project management. The skills and knowledge gained from his previous experiences make Jim a very good fit in FMS and at the College. We look forward to tapping into his experience.
Jim will be the main college contact assisting the project team and coordinating the activities among the various contractors, stakeholders and general Niagara College community. He will be reaching out to various stakeholders on campus to introduce himself and discuss future projects.
