A message from NC President Sean Kennedy:
Dear Team NC,
This year, we’re putting the spotlight on innovation.
Niagara College employees are the driving force behind our spirit of innovation and improvement, designing, implementing, and refining our processes to better support our students. The President’s Award for Innovation in Student Learning and Success is one way for us to recognize and celebrate your extraordinary efforts.
The awards – up to five distributed annually – celebrate the outstanding efforts of NC staff – individuals or teams – who affect student engagement, learning, or success in remarkable ways by innovating aspects of their work or by creating new opportunities.
Nominations for the inaugural award are being accepted now until March 4, 2022. Recipients will be celebrated college-wide this spring and will receive $1,000 to support their professional development or to help advance their innovation in a meaningful way. Recipients will be given opportunities to share effective practices across our organization to help inspire others.
Employees may self-nominate as individuals or their team, or, nominate one or more of their colleagues by completing the nomination application. For all the details, visit: niagaracollege.ca/innovationaward.
Information sessions
The Centre for Academic Excellence will be holding virtual information sessions this winter to review the award purpose, eligibility criteria, timelines, and the application or nomination process.
