An article in Greenhouse Canada written by Tanya Hvilivitzky from NC’s Research and Innovation division features work being conducted by researchers in NC’s Agriculture & Environmental Technologies Innovation Centre (AETIC). The research team, including students from NC’s Greenhouse Technician program, worked on a project with Walker Environmental Group to explore recycling possibilities and beneficial secondary uses of rockwool, a non-biodegradable mineral wool product often manufactured as a soilless growing medium for hydroponic production.
