Education News Canada shared NC’s release about Culinary Innovation and Food Technology student Michelle Lang, who has been selected for a fully sponsored placement in the Venturepark Labs Concept to Market Sprint program for aspiring food entrepreneurs.
The opportunity, given to only two students in all of Canada, was made possible by the Chartwells Thinking Ahead Giving Back partnership with Venturepark Labs, a non-profit founded by Arlene Dickinson from CBC’s Dragon’s Den.
Lang, who is a mother of four from Hamilton, Ont., was selected for the program based on her Pie in a Jar concept that showcases local products from farmers who have experienced crop losses during the pandemic.
