Beginning November 3, NC Athletics and Recreation will reopen the Fitness Centres at the Welland Campus and the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake to students and staff, who can book a workout time through an online reservation system. Drop-in times are not available at this time.
To access the Fitness Centres, all students and staff must follow Niagara College’s vaccination policy, ensuring that their proof of vaccination has been uploaded to the MyNC portal and completing the daily health screening prior to arrival.
To book a reservation, students and staff are required to complete the following steps:
- Complete the online Niagara College Fitness Centre Access Waiver. Once completed, students/staff will receive a PDF copy of the waiver via email that they will be required to present when they arrive at the Fitness Centres. The waiver can be saved to your personal device or printed.
- Complete the Book a Fitness Centre Reservation online form. Once completed, students/staff will receive an email with a booking link that they can use to choose a date/time for the current week. Note: Appointments are limited to 1 hour and 15-minute time slots and can only be booked one week at time until availability is increased.
Fitness Centre hours are limited to the following at this time:
- Welland Campus: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Daniel J. Patterson Campus: Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Please also note that this phase of re-opening only includes the use of the Fitness Centres. The gym and other on-campus activities will be part of the reservation system at a later date.
