On October 12, the LCBO announced the launch of its Spirit of Inclusion Initiative that aims to advance equitable representation in the beverage alcohol industry by offering access to bursaries, among other supports, for Canadians who self-identify as women from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC, members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, women with disabilities or first-generation.
As part of the initiative, the LCBO is funding bursaries in support of students in NC’s four beverage programs – Artisan Distilling, Winery and Viticulture Technician, Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management and Beverage Business Management.
The release includes a quote from Marc Nantel, NC’s Vice President of Research and External Relations, and was picked up by multiple publications including The Canadian Business Journal, Yahoo! Finance, Canadian Insider, The Kit, and Core Magazines, among others.
