Niagara College has a new one-stop shop for sustainability information.

On July 26, the College unveiled its new sustainability website.

Sustainability program and outreach coordinator Amber Schmucker noted that the main goal of the new website was to create a user-friendly online hub for sustainability information at the College. Notable features of the new site include a searchable project database categorized by sustainability themes, a resources page with training materials and toolkits, and historical information about various sustainability features on campus.

Students and employees can take advantage of the searchable project database for generating project ideas, and finding data and information needed for assignments, proposals or events, and much more. It also aims to make it easier for students, staff, and faculty to connect with NC’s Office of Sustainability for support with academic projects – whether they are looking for data or hoping to infuse sustainability into a course project.

“Our new website update is an important step for our department to be able to better tell NC’s sustainability story, and better support our community through academic support, student service support or other initiatives,” said Schmucker. “I am happy to say I think that has been accomplished in a beautiful package, thanks to the amazing talent of many NC staff and students.”
