Mike Balsom with YourTV Niagara interviewed Niagara College alumni Erica and Josh Karbelnik (Culinary Management Co-op, 2011). The married couple competed on season nine of the Food Network Canada show Top Chef Canada. Erica earned the title of Top Chef, and Josh was a finalist in the top four.
Balsom asks the Karbelnik’s about their experience on the show, their plans for bringing their culinary experience to Niagara, and how their time at NC prepared them for Top Chef Canada. Erica offers advice for aspiring culinary students, telling them that despite the challenges of school – be it handling pressure or uncertainty about which path to take – you can have a bad day but still look head and keep striving.
