George Yerich of the Yerich family is being remembered in The Niagara Falls Review for his contributions to the Niagara Region, among them, he and his family’s generous contributions to Niagara College’s Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake from 1998 to 2002 (then called the Glendale Campus). The article notes that the Yerich family donated $100,000 to NC through the Next Century Fundraising Campaign. The Yerich Auditorium is named in honour of his family.
Yerich, the former owner of the Skylon Tower, is remembered as one of the pioneers of modern Niagara Falls with all of its attractions.
