On June 23, Insauga wrote about the Niagara College Teaching Distillery who applied to Niagara-on-the-Lake Town Council for a license to sell their products “by the glass.”
Don Redmond says about NC: “Considered to have one of the best (if not the best) distilling, winery and brewing programs across Canada, the college program needed council’s approval, which must be included in their application to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).”
The article compares NC’s Teaching Distillery – the newest addition to their Learning Enterprises – to the NC Teaching Winery and NC Teaching Brewery which currently have a “by the glass” license at their retail and service operations.
Redmond notes that professors and students of NC’s Artisan Distilling program make all the spirits produced on-site at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
