News that Canadian musician Sarah Blackwood would be part of Niagara College’s 2021 virtual Spring Convocation ceremonies made its way to Education News Canada.
Blackwood, member of Burlington-based, Juno-award-winning band Walk off the Earth, will offer newly minted alumni her voice of inspiration. Blackwood will serve as special guest speaker and recipient of an honorary diploma during the ten ceremonies, June 21 to 25.
The re-release on ENC notes the College’s preparations for the historic milestone of its 100,000th graduate.
The interactive virtual ceremonies will be streamed live from the Welland Campus and see 3,827 students graduate.
