NC Flags will be lowered for National Day of Mourning on April 28

Flags at both the Welland Campus and the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake will be lowered on Wednesday, April 28 to recognize Canada’s National Day of Mourning, also known as Workers Mourning Day. Every year on April 28, Canada commemorates workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness due to workplace related hazards and occupational exposures.

Every worker has the right to return home safe at the of every work day and the National Day of Mourning also serves as a day for Canadian workplaces to collectively renew their commitment to improve health and safety and prevent injuries, illnesses and deaths.
