NC’s sustainability program and outreach coordinator Amber Schmucker was interviewed by YourTV Niagara’s Mike Balsom about the College’s virtual Earth Week initiatives, running the week of April 17-25.
During the interview, Schmucker highlights activities including the Niagara Virtual Cleanup, being held in partnership with Brock University for the second year, as well as the Spring Bioblitz, Virtual Plant Along and wellness initiatives from NC’s Indigenous Education department. She also notes how the planned activities are meant to provide opportunities for the college community to connect with nature and participate in sustainability-focused initiatives safely during the pandemic.
