In an article appearing in the Toronto Star, all three Niagara Dailies, Niagara This Week and the Thorold News, reporter Moosa Imran covers NC’s donation of a -80 ultra-low temperature freezer to Niagara Region Public Health for vaccine storage at a time when mass vaccination clinics are underway across the community.

The article mentions NC’s previous efforts to support the community and health-care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, including Research & Innovation’s production of 36,500 face shields (with 17,300 being donated to Niagara Health) and the Teaching Distillery’s production of a 70 per cent alcohol disinfectant to be used for hand sanitizer and surface wipes.

The coverage also includes a comment from NC’s Marc Nantel, vice president, research and external relations.
