Niagara This Week and the Niagara Dailies reported on the Ontario government’s funding announcement to support post-secondary institutions that have been financially impacted by COVID-19.

Niagara College will receive $6.8 million as part of the Province’s total commitment of more than $100 million for colleges and universities across Ontario. The funding is meant to offset the costs associated with online learning, personal protective equipment and enhanced cleaning during the pandemic.

The coverage includes a quote from NC president Sean Kennedy: “This important investment enhances our ability to support our students and our community and fulfil our important role in the economic recovery that lies ahead.”
