CKTB: NC Law professor Paul Wintemute explains changes to Canada’s Divorce Act

Newstalk 610 CKTB’s Tim Denis interviews Paul Wintemute, a lawyer and law professor at Niagara College, about the Federal Government’s recent changes to Canada’s Divorce Act.

Wintemute explains a few key amendments including revised terminology and definitions, new requirements around the relocation of children and new obligations to maintain contact with the other parent. He emphasizes that the amendments work to promote the best interests of children to protect their wellbeing throughout the divorce process.
