BPSN‘s Bernie Puchalski wrote a feature on Taryn Mitchell, an incoming NC Knight who has been recruited to play on the women’s basketball team.
The article notes that Mitchell, a Port Colborne resident and current Lakeshore Catholic High School student, has had her eye on NC for a while. She is quoted in the article about her motivations for choosing NC:
“I never really had the want to move away for school, I always to stay here,” she notes in the article. “I just never wanted to move away so it was either Brock or Niagara and Niagara has the Occupational Therapy program so I could start there and I would be home.
“I’ve always wanted to go to Niagara College. I always thought it was a good place to start.”
Puchalski also mentions that Mitchell has already connected with her future teammates through group chats and virtual workouts.
