School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport welcomes new associate dean, administrative assistant

A message from Justin Williams, PhD, dean of Business, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport:

Please join me in welcoming two new additions to the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport: our new associate dean Evan DiValentino, and administrative assistant Patricia Beu.

Evan DiValentino, associate dean

Evan DiValentino

It is my pleasure to introduce the new associate dean for the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport.

Evan DiValentino joins us from Mohawk College, where he has served as associate dean, Business and Creative Industries. Evan’s portfolio consisted of a broad range of programs including advertising, public relations and graphic design. Prior to that, Evan worked as program manager, Continuing Education with Mohawk. Evan’s industry background includes sustainability consulting, and he was the founder and executive director of the Niagara Sustainability Initiative.

Evan is no stranger to NC, as a faculty member and alumnus. He graduated from Niagara College in 2010 from the post-graduate program in Environmental Management and Assessment. Evan taught in the division as a part-time/partial-load faculty member between 2010 and 2015.

He holds a B.Sc. from Brock, a graduate certificate from Niagara College, and an M.A. in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Royal Roads University.

Evan will be joining us on January 25.

Patricia Beu, administrative assistant

Patricia Beu

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Patricia Beu who joined the division as administrative assistant to the dean (Business, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport) on December 16.

Patricia is no stranger to NC. She has worked in administrative roles at NC since 2011 in Academic Upgrading, and EAC in a number of similar roles. I am confident that her NC knowledge, relationships and ‘NC DNA’ will be a welcome asset to the division.
