Niagara College’s recruitment team will have staff working between December 28 and 31 to help support prospective students as they determine the next steps in their educational journey.
Support from the team will include individual live virtual sessions, as well as a number of online group sessions including application workshops, a variety of specialty college exploration sessions and guided virtual campus visits.
“We anticipate that many families will be having discussions about future post-secondary plans this holiday season and NC’s recruitment team is available over the break to provide information about our programs to assist with those conversations,” said Phil Hayes, NC’s associate director, Student Recruitment.
After a fall semester unlike any other for both high school and post-secondary students due to Covid-19, Hayes added, “Prospective students and their supports have questions about whether our programs and delivery methods will be the right fit and they want to make informed decisions about their next steps. Our team is here to help remove barriers, get students the information they need and provide resources to ensure they are moving forward in a positive and productive way.”
NC recently launched a campaign called New Year, New Me, New Path, which captures the sentiment that many students might be feeling as they firm up their future plans heading into 2021. Dates and registration information for each specialty session and workshop can be found on the campaign website at: niagaracollege.ca/newyearnewme
In addition, prospective students and their families can reach out to NC’s recruitment team over the holiday break via the live chat feature on the New Year, New Me, New Path website, or by emailing [email protected].
All NC faculty and staff are also encouraged to share the information with anyone interested in learning more about NC’s innovative programs.
