A message from the NC United Way campaign committee:
Support for the NC Cares United Way workplace campaign continues to roll in with $29,917 raised to date, thanks to a very generous NC community. With just over a month to go until the close of this year’s campaign, there are still a number of ways to show your support, including purchasing student-grown poinsettias this holiday season.
Annual poinsettia sale
NC’s Teaching Greenhouse is off and running with its annual poinsettia sale. Early poinsettia varieties are available now with more selection being added this week. Currently, six-inch poinsettias are available for $8 each, while six-inch festive poinsettias will be available soon for $15 each. For every poinsettia sale, $1.00 will be donated to NC’s United Way workplace campaign.
Poinsettias can be purchased online any time through the Teaching Greenhouse’s online store at store.ncteachinggreenhouse.ca and picked up curbside, or purchased in-store on the following dates:
Saturday, November 28, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday, November 29, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday, December 5, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday, December 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Online donations / payroll deduction
NC’s United Way committee also continues to accept donations online and through payroll deduction. Visit the NC Cares website to make your gift or follow these steps:
- PAYROLL DEDUCTION – Click here (*login: desktop/laptop username & password)
- or DIGITAL PLEDGE FORM
- Download and save the Pledge Form to your computer.
- Open the Pledge Form on your computer in a compatible PDF program (such as Adobe Acrobat).
- Fill out and save a copy of the form to your computer.
- Email the completed form to Jennifer Murphy ([email protected]).
