NC’s sustainability program and outreach co-ordinator Amber Schmucker is quoted throughout the article. She speaks to the potential impact of picking up litter in a local neighbourhood and notes, “That individual action has the potential to create a network of a bunch of people doing that, or at least being able to have that conversation about the impact of litter on our ecosystem,” she said.
