Jennifer La Grassa with CBC Windsor draws on the expertise of NC’s head winemaker Gavin Robertson in this September 5 article. In the piece, La Grassa speaks with winemakers from across Canada who anticipate exceptional wines from the 2020 year thanks to ideal weather.
Robertson predicts a “really strong vintage” and notes “I’m tasting good flavour already and also I’m sort of chewing through quite thick skins … and it’s the skins that actually contain most of the flavour compounds.”
He also comments on the likelihood of gathering a smaller harvest this year and notes that NC is in good shape heading into the harvest season.
