Lindsay Smith from Niagara This Week wrote a story featuring Geri Crroj, a third year international student in NC’s Computer Programming and Analysis program. Crroj speaks to his college experience during the COVID-19 pandemic and a number of the challenges the situation has presented for international students.

The article mentions that NC expects 1,800 first-year international students for the fall term, some of who will already be in the country and others will be starting their classes online from abroad due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Dorita Pentesco, NC’s acting director of International, notes that the College has put supports in place for its international students including weekly Zoom sessions with prospective students, a PAL mentor program, and a new app called Be NC Ready that features teaching modules about school in Canada and a chat function to connect students.
