Soup’s On!, an annual fundraiser benefitting local students heading into their post-secondary studies, was featured in the Niagara Dailies on July 27 after naming its 2020 scholarship recipients. The fundraiser, organized by St. Kevin’s Catholic Church in Welland, features a sampling of soups prepared by Niagara College and culinary students from local high schools. The 2020 event was held back in January with more than 400 people in attendance.
Thanks to the event’s supporters, the following students will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to help kick start their post-secondary education: Ella DiFlavio from Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School, Susan Santillan from Lakeshore Catholic High School and Mikayla Guarasci from Notre Dame College School.
