Former NC sales and marketing student Aidan Porter and his brother Jackson, were featured in The Hamilton Spectator and Niagara This Week on July 2. The brothers caught the attention of the local media for their entrepreneurial efforts to start their own business, Porter Bros. Window Cleaning, using their CERB payments after being laid off from their restaurant jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the article, Aidan Porter notes that the lessons he learned in the NC classroom were helpful in starting a new business. He says: “In our classes, we did tons of sales scenarios, you learn what questions to expect when talking to a customer, and basically, it just taught me a lot of people skills and how to sell jobs to people.”
