On June 16, Education News Canada shared NC’s release on the first day of the College’s week-long Virtual Spring Convocation Ceremonies. The release noted that the very first ceremony on Monday attracted more than 10,000 viewers from over 25 countries around the world, who watched the livestream presentation as 696 students from the School of Business and Management graduated. The 2 p.m. ceremony celebrated 574 graduates from the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport, and School of Business and Management.
Other notable highlights from Day One included inspiring remarks from NC president Sean Kennedy and guest speaker Clara Hughes, six-time Canadian Olympic medalist. Video messages from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Minister of Colleges and Universities Ross Romano, and Niagara regional chair Jim Bradley also addressed graduates.
