Your TV’s Mike Balsom interviewed NC Public Relations student Ashlan MacDonald about her recent award from the Canadian Public Relations Society Hamilton Chapter. On June 2, she was announced as one of two winners of the CPRS Student Award of Excellence, given annually to one or two students graduating from full-time postsecondary undergraduate or post-graduate certificate PR programs in Hamilton, Halton and Niagara.
In the interview, MacDonald, 21, describes her experience in the PR program as hands-on and very valuable, noting that she enrolled in the graduate certificate program to gain the practical training she felt she needed before entering the workforce.
