A message from Information Technology Services:
Beginning Wednesday May 6 around noon, Niagara College employees and students will notice a change to some of the emails they receive in their College inboxes.
In an effort to assist users with identifying email-based phishing attempts, emails originating from an external source will be tagged with a cautionary note.
An example of the language NC employees and students will see is:

There have been recent events where this may have helped a user to avoid falling victim to a phishing scam. For example, ITS has seen an uptake in the number of phishing attempts which appear to come from someone known to the employee within Niagara College.
ITS wants to remind NC employees and students that, if in doubt, please forward suspicious emails to [email protected].
