Carol Phillips, NC’s associate dean of community services, was featured by Bernie Puchalski in BPSN for her role as volunteer services chair of the Canada Summer Games Niagara 2021. With a background in sports and recreation, Phillips’ involvement with the Games was a natural fit.
In her volunteer role, Phillips is responsible for making sure every sporting venue has enough volunteers to effectively run the events. Although it is early in the process, she estimates that more than 5,000 volunteers will be needed to ensure the Canada Games run smoothly.
