Niagara College President Sean Kennedy was interviewed by YourTV’s Mike Balsom virtually over Skype, in which Balsom credits Kennedy for jumping into the role at a particularly challenging time.
“It’s been a wild ride to be sure, but it has also been inspiring because it has shown me the incredible depth of creativity, teamwork and commitment to student success that is shared across the Niagara College organization among faculty, staff, and management. It has been an extraordinary testament to the Niagara College DNA,” said Kennedy.
Kennedy discusses how quickly the College adapted to changes and guidance from Niagara Public Health amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as how NC transitioned to online learning.
He also notes the donation of personal protective equipment for use by the local health care sector, as well as NC’s ability to produce 7,000 face shields for front-line health care workers (with federal funding support by SONAMI).
“A hallmark of Niagara College has always been to respond to our communities, and this was no exception,” said Kennedy.
