A message from NC Libraries and Learning Commons:

During this unprecedented moment for our College, NC Libraries and Learning Commons staff would like to ensure you that we are still available online to help you and your students.

We have an extensive collection of online resources available through our databases and a collection of online learning modules and tutorials on a variety of topics, including navigating library databases, evaluating resources, plagiarism, citing sources, and more. The links to these resources can be easily embedded in your Blackboard courses.

For resource and research inquiries, our chat service will be maintained by library staff during regular service hours; it can be accessed via the Library website. Chat service will also be available for academic drop-in help for students with questions about math, writing, ESL, and science.  However, peer tutoring services will be unavailable. A chat service will also be available on the peer tutoring website to answer inquiries and online alternatives to this service will be posted as they become available.

Our physical reserve collection will be unavailable during this time.  However, we can work with you to find alternative resources through the Library’s databases or open educational resources. Please contact me for more information if you would like to pursue this option.

Each program area has its own subject guide, curated by your library liaison. This guide can be customized to meet your needs, including adding pages of resources for specific assignments to help your students.

If there is anything NC Libraries and Learning Commons can do to help you, please do not hesitate to contact us via email, or on our website chat during regular service hours: nclibraries.niagaracollege.ca/library

Stay safe,
NC Libraries and Learning Commons
